The editor of this magazine, Rhoda Parry has a new blog

It's really worth dropping by and visiting. The content is similar to the magazine, with hearty, warming recipes for this time of the year. Mentions and links to designers such as 'Clothkits' and Emma Bridgewater, blogs to visit, gorgeous photographs and it's still a very young blog.

She likes my .....fabric bundles! and I'm flattered.

I like my fabric bundles too. I'm always trying to find ways of overcoming the problems of buying fabric online when you can't touch and feel it and you can't move it alongside another fabric .... which might go... but then again... So, bundles are my way of trying to overcome some of those issues. What I can't decide at the moment is whether pictures of fabric swatches 'photoshopped' together, such as these...

...look as attractive as photographs of fabric bolts side by side like this...

Do I need to mention the weather?

I think we've gotten off pretty lightly with the weather here much to the children's disgust. They've only had one day off school because of snow which they felt was just a bit harsh. Especially as they kept seeing children on the news all over the country having great fun out in the snow .... and no school.

I've been able to tetter totter my way down to the Post Office and get my parcels out much the same as usual. I know, however that deliveries have been slower as the weather has created all kinds of difficulties as the precious packages make their way to various receiptients. Deliveries to the shop haven't faired much better, so I'm waiting for loads of goodies to arrive.

He's been waving at me for the past couple of days.... it's from this;

It's sitting on my new shelves... my lovely new shelves and when I've got them all neatly arranged, sorted out and looking pretty I'll give you a little tour around the shop.... but that's for another time.

This little owl is a project designed by Amy Adams of LucyKate and there are loads of other lovely makes hidden inside its pages.

The desk calendar has lots (100 in fact) of quite inspired sewing ideas from zippered purses to oven mitts and lunch bags. The pages are doubled so if it's appropriate, you get pattern pieces printed inside.

Maybe if your creativity needs a kick start, perhaps this would help? Absolutely no excuses for running out of inspiration now! It also (and quite rightly so) names the project designers and gives blog addresses.... so you can go 'blog exploring' Who knows where that adventure may lead or who you may 'meet' out there in 'blogland' Brilliant ...
