A dressing-up suggestion from a 'twittering' friend.
Things are arriving left, right and centre 'cos I do tend to shop online - handmade (share those with you later when no-one is looking) as well as single handedly supporting Ninetendo and Microsoft.
Amongst all this chaos though I've spent a few hours choosing fabrics for next spring (it seems such a long way away.) and I had a delivery of these;
I really like this 'coffee pots' fabric. Here's a close up ....
To me this says - bags, I can't quite imagine clothes made out of it. Well, maybe a fun jacket or even a pattern like this one or this one.
Both suggest different (or the same, if you wish) fabric(s) for each of the 'gores', making quite an interesting skirt. Otherwise perhaps it would be lovely for things about the house; fabric coasters, recipe book covers, cafetiere cosies that sort of thing and bags, of course. (Oops! repeating myself there.). I can't quite decide, but I'm going to make something out of it. What does it make you think of?
I like the 'coffee beans' that go with it too...
... with it's richly coloured cream, black, and coffee coloured polka dots or should I say beans.
But in the meantime, whilst I wait for some sewing 'me' time, I've added them to the shop and created some new fabric bundles. Have a look and tell me what you think.
I love the new fabrics Julia, they made me think of bags too, they're gorgeous colours. Might we see a photo of Mr Primrose in his pirate get up?!!!!!
Wishing you all a very happy Christmas and wonderful New year

As I sit here with my coffee the coffee pot fabric looks especially appealing! I'd probably be really unoriginal and make cafetiere cosies with it ;-)

I think you need to be ironic - organise a tea party and turn up in a coffee dress ;)

Two years ago my friends husband dressed up as Jack Sparrow and he was so like him to look at it was spooky! Lovely fabrics Julia. I will have to see if I get any birthday money next Tuesday.
